Would you like to learn some more about Goldstone Primary School?

Is your child due to start primary school in September 2021?

If so, we understand that this is an emotional time, choosing a school to best suit you and your child, but with less opportunity than normal to research and visit your shortlist.

With that in mind, we would like to do as much as possible to familiarise you with our school. and hope that you will choose us to start your child off on their exciting journey through education.

Normally it is the time of year when we have the opportunity to show off our school, and in particular our fantastic Early Years learning environment, to the parents and carers of the 2021 Reception class intake by holding tours with our Head Teacher, Chris Pearson, as we feel that this gives parents/carers the best opportunity to judge the school -  not just from the bricks and mortar, but also the teachers, the teaching and most importantly the children themselves.

However, currently we are unable to hold any tours due to the new 'Tier Two' restrictions, and as we have been advised by the Local Authority that we should not hold tours. As such you will find a 'virtual tour' recorded with Chris Pearson below, and some details of some Zoom calls that we hope you are able to attend in order to best familiarise yourself with Chris and the school.

If you have any questions about the school or anything we can help with, please do phone the school office on 01273 294851/294853 or email admin@goldstone.brighton-hove.sch.uk and we will endeavour to help you in any way we can.

We cannot wait to meet you and we do hope that we are able to welcome you and your child to Goldstone Primary School.

Take a Virtual Tour of Goldstone Primary with Chris Pearson, Head Teacher

In the event that you are unable to attend one of our tours, we have put together a video of a 'Goldstone Primary School Virtual Tour', to best replicate the experience that you would have had were you able to come and take a look around our fantastic school.

We would therefore encourage you to watch the video, with your family, as many times as you like, and if you have any questions you can call or email the school with them and the reception team would be delighted to help.

Alternatively, you may wish to direct your questions to Mr Pearson himself, and we would suggest that you email them to the school office in the first instance, in order that he is able to address them on the 'New Parent Zoom Call', details of which are below.

A massive thank you goes to one of our parents, Matt Kowalczuk, who generously put together the video for us.

An Introduction to Goldstone with Mr Pearson

When the first Covid-19 lockdown was implemented in March, Our Head Teacher recorded a video about the school, which we sent out to the parents of thoise children joining us in September 2020.

Please take a look at the video here.

Storytime with the Reception Team

Under normal circumstamces we would meet your child for storytimes and a Teddy Bears Picnic in your childs classroom in the run up to them joining us, so this year we tried to replicate that experience, with some of our Reception teaching staff, along with some of our other school staff (such as the ladies who work in the school office) recording themselves from lockdown, reading some lovely stories for the children to listen to and watch to familialise themselves with our faces and voices - why don't you take a look too to find out what a lovely bunch we are!
